In short: Settled collects nothing about you. There's no account, no sign-up, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking. Your progress stays on your phone.
Settled is an independent practice app for the Life in the UK test, made by Leo Leung in the United Kingdom. Leo Leung is the data controller for the little processing described here. Contact: leohlleung@gmail.com.
Your answers, streak, XP, level, badges, saved cards, mock test scores and settings are stored only on your device. We can't see them. Deleting the app deletes them.
The one-time unlock is sold and processed by Apple. We never see your name, email address or payment details. To confirm a purchase and to let you restore it on another device, the app uses RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous app user ID and your purchase history for Settled. This is used only to make the unlock work. See also Apple's privacy policy.
The app may download updated question cards from our website. The request contains no personal information. As with any website, the hosting provider may briefly keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses, for security.
If you tap Report on a card or email us, your own email app sends the message. We receive your email address and what you write, use it only to reply and fix the problem, and delete it within 12 months.
When you share your score or the app, your phone's own share sheet sends it. We don't receive a copy.
Settled is meant for adults preparing for the Life in the UK test. It doesn't knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.
Under UK data protection law you can ask what information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Because the app keeps no personal data on our side, this usually only applies to emails you've sent us. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
